I've always heard about "grassroots" campaigns, but always wondered where those roots really are because those opinions never matched mine or those of anyone I know. What is really below that lawn?

Is Teenage "Sexting" a crime?
I just read in the Wall Street Journal about "Sexting" -- something that I had never heard of before. It amazes me how internet connectivity raises so many new moral, ethical, and legal dilemmas.
Dickey-Wicker Amendment and Stem-Cell Research
The LA times Thursday August 26, 2010 Editorial explained how US District Judge Royce C. Lambert's recent ruling will jeopardize American medical science and the health of millions of patients worldwide.
Judge Lambert probably made a correct interpretation of the law, however the Dickey-Wicker amendment should have never been passed in the first place.
I wrote my Congressman, Darryl Issa, and asked him to work to remove the Dickey Wicker Amendment, so stem-cell research can continue.

What's Below the Lawn?
Below the lawn is the roots of the lawn -- the Grass Roots. Many political efforts seem to say that they are "grass roots" organizations that actually represent the will of the people. But are they?
